Enniscorthy Technology Park, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

Enniscorthy Technology Park is a new development site of 15.5 hectares (38 acres) in close proximity to Enniscorthy town centre. It presents an exceptional development opportunity, incorporating approximately 9,300m2 (100,000 ft²) of prime office accommodation with full planning permission as well as other sites with design and build options. The buildings cut a distinctive architectural profile on a slope that falls towards the River Slaney, looking across the flood plane to Enniscorthy Town. This reference is reinforced by the wood balustraded balcony that projects westwards, indeed, raised on steel stilts as if a riverside wharf. The celebration of the atrium by increased height is further celebrated by a ‘floating’ mono-pitched roof that is clad with photovoltaic panels and tilted towards the south for optimum solar gain and energy efficiency. In the same aesthetic spirit, the atrium is presented with two detached planes that are ‘cranked’, opening on the east facade to embrace the visitor at the main entrance bridge and on the west facade to address Enniscorthy Town.
